An Cuan is the name of our Autistic Unit in the Colaiste. An Cuan means ‘Harbour’. It is a safe haven for our Autistic daltai. In An Cuan our ambition is to prepare daltai with basic life skills and the social skills they need to equip help them make the transition into adulthood. We try to promote their independence and self-esteem throughout the duration of their time in An Cuan.
An Cuan is equipped with a kitchen, computer room, sensory room and a garden to help promote and meet the diverse needs of our daltai. Although An Cuan only opened in September 2013, the positive impact it is having on our whole school is evident to see.
