Dáltaí Visit Chartered Accounting Ireland

40 dáltaí from Idirbliain, 5ú and 6ú visited Chartered Accounting Ireland to learn about the career paths to becoming an accountant in Ireland. There were a number of guest speakers and a complex case study to be solved. One of our students won an iPad on the day!

Positive Start to the Year in Gaelic Football

The Coláiste na hInse Junior team have opened their season with two wins, the most recent coming against Coláiste de Lacey in Dunganny.

The Second Year team completed their GAA season in Dunganny recently bowing out to a very strong St. Oliver’s team at the North Leinster semi-final stage. CNI started well with a goal direct from the throw in but succumbed in the second half to superior St. Oliver’s shooting. Notable performances this year included Aidan Clarke, Tadgh Duff and Cormac O’ Donoghue. A big thank you to Meath GAA for providing pitches to ensure the tournament ran smoothly.

Access to Testing Feedback for Academic Monitoring

All 5th and 6th year daltaí are in the process of receiving feedback from the testing they completed at the beginning of 5th year. Our Guidance Councillors are giving each daltaí an individual student report which gives an explanation of their results and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. The report not only promotes self-reflection, but provides daltaí with ideas for maximising their learning preferences.

We are also now offering digital copies of the parent reports to the tuismitheoirí of all daltaí (1st – 6th year). If you would like a copy of your child’s report please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . This is designed to help parents understand their child’s results and what actions they can take to further their learning. The report can be used as an effective tool for reinforcing school-based learning activities at home.
