Christmas sa Coláiste

Our annual Christmas sa Coláiste was held on Thursday, December 12th. It was a fantastic evening featuring a range of Christmas favourites including as dáltaí from every year group performed on the night. There was also a Christmas market for the first time as a number of our Idirbliain mini-companies set up stalls on the evening to the joy of the Christmas shoppers in the crowd. A huge thank you to the Parents’ Association who assisted in organising and staging the event.

The CNI Under 19 Ladies’ Soccer team were unfortunate to lose narrowly away to Loreto Balbriggan in December. It was a very encouraging performance from a young team that promises much for the future.

The Under 15 cailíní fared better in a thrilling victory in very wet and windy conditions in Kells. Well done to their coaches, Kelly and Nicole from idirbhliain. The First Year team followed their cue in securing a comprehensive win in the first round of the cup.

The Under 19 Men’s team were knocked out of the cup following a 1-0 defeat to Boyne C. C. from Trim. Nonetheless, they did secure their place in the League semi-final with a hard-fought win against local rivals St. Oliver’s C.C., a late goal securing a 3-2 win in Drogheda. The semi-final pits them against Boyne C.C., offering a quick opportunity to make up for the cup exit.

The First Year Boys’ team were defeated in the first round of the cup by a strong Dunboyne team. They begin January with league matches against both Skerries and Dunshaughlin.

Rang Russell Host Bake Sale and Classes Visit Borzalino's

Well done to Rang Russell on their successful bake sale on Tuesday. They baked all of the goods for the sale and raised money for the school's breakfast club!

Ranganna Brennan, Russell and Lennon visited Borzalino’s restaurant in Drogheda as part of their courses in Italian and Hotel, Catering and Tourism. They enjoyed a three-course meal and had the opportunity to practise their Italian!

CNI Has Talent on Wonderful Evening

Congratulations to all our contestants who performed in CNI's Got Talent just before the mid-term break. The standard was exceptionally high and a wonderfully jam packed evening of entertainment was provided. Our judges had a tough decision to make but awarded first place to 1st year dancer, Erdvile Rimkute. Erdvile gave an incredible performance that wowed the judges and audience. Second place went to 3rd year student, Lara Hughes and 2nd year student, Robert Philips. Lara and Robert sang and played a beautiful original song, 'No More' written by Lara. Third place went to 3rd year student, Jennifer Sheil. Jennifer stunned the audience and judges with her solo violin performance.
